Upward Evaluation Volunteers Needed

During the week after Thanksgiving, we have an awesome opportunity to share the love of Jesus to our community as we hold our annual Upward Basketball & Cheerleading Evaluation nights.  Hundreds of kids and their families will be coming to our Family Life Center to try on uniforms, fill out registration forms, do drills, and become oriented to the new season.  We need  folks that love the Lord and love people that can provide enthusiastic, smiling, kind faces for these folks to meet as they come to our campus.

We need up to 25 folks each night on the evenings of Monday, November 27, Tuesday, November 28, and Thursday, November 30.  The time of the commitment will be from 6 to 8 p.m. each night.  You can come out one night or multiple nights.  It’s a fun, easy way to show the love of Christ to our community, many of which do  not know Christ as Savior.  Wanna serve?  Then contact our minister of recreation Bill Risher at billrisher@fuse.net or by calling him at (859) 356-3162, ext. 13.

Adult volunteers needed for the Ludicrous Lock-in!

On Oct. 28-29, we are having a Ludicrous Lock-in at Lazer Kraze in Erlanger! SO…we are looking for some “Krazy” adult volunteers to stay up all night and have some fun hanging out with students, getting to know them, being positive role models for them, and be on chaperone duty too! We open the doors at Lazer Kraze at Midnight and it will last until 6 AM. We will need help with registration, policing the inflatables and game room, serving food, and of course having some fun shooting teenagers in Lazer Tag! We will have an adult volunteer planning meeting on Sunday, October 23 right after the second service down in the Deep where the youth meet. For more info contact Jon Burdette at jon@hickorygrove.net or by calling 859-356-3162, ext. 23. Thanks and God bless!

White's Tower Elementary help needed

White's Tower Elementary help needed

Bill

Per our conversation last evening here is the need from our local elementary school.

Would you like to help a child learn an important life-long skill?  If so, we have the volunteer opportunity for you!  White's Tower Elementary School is looking for people who can donate their time to help students learn their math facts (multiplication and addition).  Volunteers are needed throughout the school day (8:45 - 3:00) to help study math facts with flash cards.  If you are available to help for an hour or more weekly, biweekly, monthly, please contact Julie Squires at Julie.Squires@Kenton.kyschools.us.  You can also leave her a voice message at 356-9668.

A background check is required by the state for all school volunteers, and is provided at no cost to you. We will provide you the form to start the process.  This can take between 20-30 days to receive a response from the state.

thanks for your willingness to help.
Marissa

Operation: Bellevue!

We have a sister church that is seeking help from folks who know who to fix things up. Perhaps this is something a Life Group or anyone can grab onto as a great ministry. Here is the request as worded by former Grover now senior paster of FBC, Aaron Sams: "I was wondering if your small groups would be interested in helping the First Baptist Church of Bellevue. We have a great facility, but it has become worn down over the years. There are so many opportuunities, such as getting our gym functional and repairing some rooms, that would help us better reach the community in Bellevue. Do you think Hickory Grove would be interested in helping us in this way?" If you wanna help in any way, you can contact Aaron at aaronsams9@gmail.com.
